I've a ,net url, but attachments are still using wordpress.com url

  Hello,

  I’ve upgraded my account, and am using a custom .net url. However, the attachments (image and pdfs) that I have uploaded since then are using http://theartofparties.files.wordpress.com/…

  How can I have the attachments use the .net address? (This is the whole point of getting a custom url, right?)

  I have two blogs on domains and what you describe is normal. You are mapping from an underlying .wordpress.com blog and that’s where the content is housed, so the URLs for attachments and media files are .wordpress.com URLs.

  Is there any way to change that? I can’t have people looking at attachments with a different address.

  Unfortunately, there really isn’t at WordPress.com. It’s annoying because your custom domain doesn’t get the SEO bonus.
