i’ve been marked mature so shd i bother tagging?

  i’ve been marked mature for the kinds of words I use and posts i write even though there’s no porn or racist or any such matter. so what i want to know is since I’ve been marked mature and since my tags won’t show up on wordpress should i bother adding tags to my posts? any point?

  Yes. Each of those tags and categories should still function as a Technorati tag. At least, it used to. You can check this by blogging something, sticking a very unusual tag on it, and going to Technorati to do a tag search and see if you show up there.

  Also, they function as keywords in search engines external to WordPress, like Google.

  You want tags.

  I still use categories to make it easier for visitors to find whatever they’re looking for.

  I’m officially still in the WP tag system, so it seems, but it’s been literally months since I got a referral from the tag pages. It’s just not as important as it used to be, I guess. But using the categories has really helped my Google standing.

  That’s bizarre: so he does. I remember the BIG fuss when he got dropped from the tag pages, but I can see him all over now.
