I've changed some Publish Dates. How to redirect the old locations?
-
I’ve changed the publish date of some posts to get them to appear in the right order. Problem is that there are still some links to the old urls on facebook and twitter.
I had assumed that the original url was a permalink that would redirect to the new address, but it turns out that it doesn’t.
Questions:
If I want redirects from the old urls, do I have to upload a new post for each post where the date changed?
If so, what’s the best way to do that? (I have enough perl skill to create a .xml file that matches the format of an WordPress eXtended RSS file.)
For the content of each ‘redirect’, I could create a page that says “this page has moved: please click _here_”. It’s not ideal; is there a better option?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
