I’ve deleted important parts of my ‘posts’ page

I’ve done something silly! When I was setting up a new website the homepage was automatically set as the posts page. I didn’t want it as the posts page, but instead of creating a new page and making that the posts page, I edited it and removed some important elements! Do’h.

I removed the ‘previous post’ and ‘next post’ buttons at the bottom, something at the top (I can’t remember what this said) and something else lower down.

Now my ‘posts page’ has the writing that should only be on my homepage, and I can’t delete it (I seem to have created a template for my ‘posts page’ that I can no longer edit) and it doesn’t show a new post when I create one.

So I need help to put back the essential parts of the ‘posts page’ that I deleted, to remove the text that’s on there, and to make new posts show up on this page.

If anyone is able to help that would be amazing, thank you in advance.

  • Hi @hollyrosethomas ,

I see that you have two revisions on your front page.
Please try following these steps and see if you can restore the page using the revisions:https://wordpress.com/support/page-post-revisions/

Let me know if you still need help with this after trying the revisions.

    Regards,
