I've deleted my default links and now navigation is messed up

  I was trying to create a new link category for my favorite posts and I did that and then added one of my posts as a test. Then I went in and saw all of the default links (which, to be fair, did not look like they did much of anything that I needed), and deleted them to clean up my visual field.

  What happened somehow, is that the one test link is now the only link button in my theme at the top of the page and the “Home”, “About” and “Contact” are all gone. I’ve tried to figure out how to get these back and get rid of the test link, but I can’t seem to find a way.

  How can I recover my blog after doing this to it?

  Is this a CSS editing issue or not? I’m asking because you have posted into the Support Forum and if it is a CSS issue I can flag it and have it moved to the CSS Forum for you.

  What happened somehow, is that the one test link is now the only link button in my theme at the top of the page and the “Home”, “About” and “Contact” are all gone.

  If you created a custom menu then here’s some troubleshooting help.
  Custom menu isn’t appearing!
  Go to the custom menu page in the dashboard Appearance > Menus and in the “Theme Location” module on the upper left select your custom menu from the pulldown and then click “save”.

  Okay, after wasting two hours and then finally posting a question, I figured out what I had done. I’d created a new “menu” and that was overriding the default. It wasn’t the links after all.
