I’ve had my website up for about two months now (launched, public). I still have zero views…

  I would have thot I’d at least get various hits from random web searches. But I can’t even get a a web search (Google, DuckDuckgo) to find the website, even with the full website name typed in…..

  Hi there, a couple of things to note:

  It looks like you created this account about 4 weeks ago.

  You have one blog post on your site from October 12.

  Here are a few things you can do today to help things along:

  1. Post to your blog more frequently, especially at the beginning.

  2. Use Categories and Tags to help people find you in the WordPress.com Reader. (Your single post is categorized as “uncategorized”.) Here’s more on Categories and Tags:

  The bottom line is it takes several weeks before any new site will start appearing in search engines, and on top of that, search engines will only start indexing your site once you regularly start adding new content.

  With only one post and one page published on your site, there’s not much there for search engines to index. But each time you publish a new post, we ping all the major search engines to come and index your site. The more you post, the more the search engines get pinged, and the faster they index your site :)
