I've moved to wordpress.org and my wp.com appears so often on google.

So, I’ve recently moved to wp.org from wp.com. Are there anything that is necessary to be done? Or is it perfectly normal that my wp.com appears more often than my wp.org on search engine? I am totally confused. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you did not have the same domain name mapped to the blog here, then yes that is normal. It will take a while for your new site to outrank your old site. Sometimes as much as 6 months or more.
There is the site redirect upgrade which will allow you to redirect all traffic to your old domain name to the new site using a permanent 301 redirect. When the search engines see a 301 redirect, they will start to transfer your search engine ranking over to the new site, and will also start to pull the old URLs and replace them with the new URLs.

I would suggest not deleting it just in case yo might want to use it at some point in the future. I would definitely set it to private so there is not duplicate content. A single year of the redirect would be enough to get all your ranking moved over and for the bulk of the links to disappear from the search engines. It might not ever completely disappear if there are any links to it anywhere on the web. I have a blog I marked private over 3 years ago and there are still a couple links that come up on it, but only when I search for the URL of that site.
