I've paid for a custom domain, but now I want to upgrade my blog plan

    I recently renewed my custom domain at the end of November, which changes my blog link to a ‘.com’ domain.

    I now want to upgrade my blog’s plan to the ‘Personal’ plan. Within this plan comes a custom domain name.

    I want to upgrade, but if I do so and pay for the Personal plan, the money I spent renewing my custom domain back in November will be wasted, because this is part of the Personal plan’s package.

    If I upgrade will I be refunded for the custom domain I paid for, or will I be charged for both the renewal of the domain and the new package?

    Hi there,

    If you add any of our plans on top of your domain you should receive an automatic discount on the total cost of the plan. If that doesn’t happen when you upgrade, let me know and I can issue the refund for you after the fact.

    Hello,
    Thanks for your response. I tried to upgrade and I do automatically recieve a £6 refund (for my domain), but the domain actually cost me £21 as I also added the privacy option (I believe that’s what it’s called?). This wasn’t deducted – is this not refunded?

    I wouldn’t be concerned otherwise but as I only renewed the domain a month ago I’ve not got my full year out of that payment.
