I've recently changed the details of my account & am having login issues.

  I recently took over the blog from a friend and so have altered the login details to my own email etc. I’m able to login into my wordpress account, but remain unable to login and make adjustments to my blog (i.e themes etc.)
  The blog was previously registered with (email visible only to moderators and staff). However when a new password request is made, emails are failing to be received.
  Could you please advice me how to alter and gain access to my blog.

  It sounds like you might not be set up as an Administrator of the blog. See if this helps:
