I’ve recently deleted my domain

How long will it take to show that wordpress does not own the domain?

Hello there,
Please share the domain name that you deleted.
Note: If you still want to own the domain, DO NOT cancel the domain from any of the domain registrar as you might not be able to own it anymore once it’s released for new registration.
I’ve added a modlook tag for Staff assistance to check on your account and domain purchase history.

Hi there,
Are you speaking of the-rolling-hills.com? We do not own that domain, but neither do you – you gave up ownership when you cancelled it. That domain will be parked with us until it expires in June next year and goes through the redemption process which takes an additional 80 days.
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. You should only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.
If you still want to use that domain I can still restore it to your account, and then we can help you point it to another provider, or transfer it once you’ve owned it for 60 days. But we have no way of manually releasing the domain so you can register it as a new domain somewhere else.
If you do want us to restore the domain, also note that you need an active WordPress.com site in your account to which we can connect it, else you won’t be able to access any of the domain’s settings. I can either restore your deleted WordPress.com site for this purpose, or you can create a new free WordPress.com site at https://wordpress.com/start/site/
Please let us know how you would like to proceed.
