I've tried to publish my latest post several times and it's not appearing on my front page
-
I wrote ‘Transitioning from Indian Summer into Autumn~ My favorite skin care products for a fresher, smoother and renewed complexion’ post on 9-21-2017 and have published it several times which the board acknowledges, yet it still hasn’t posted on the front page of my Your Skin Advisor blog…it still appears in my Site pages–where did it go? I recently changed my Theme–yet that was several days before–I have several more posts to publish and I don’t want the same thing to happen–please advise. Thank you.

@maryhanderson Your mentioned writing your “Transitioning from…” post and not seeing it, but still finding it in your Site pages section. I wonder if this is the problem. Posts should be written and published through your Blog Posts section of the customizer.
Taking a look at your theme it looks like the front page is capable of sharing several recent posts (not pages) which might be why you’re experiencing the problem.

Thank you xpurichan for your suggestions–much appreciated. I thought this might be why it happened, yet I cannot find a way to fix it…it only says pages now I my settings column. How do you suggest I take steps to correct it? My posts are fairly long so it takes a lot of time to re-post. Again thank you so much for any assistance you can offer.

You should be able to create a new blog post by:
Clicking on My Site in the upper-left hand corner -> then under the Manage section of the toolbar next to Blog Posts select Add. Also, if you just choose Blog Posts then you should be able to see all of your former posts too.
You can also create new posts using this method:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/You should be able to copy and paste your content from your page onto a new blog post.

Thank you for your timely response, xpuichan–I did get that post to go to the front page but had to add the static front page. I choose the new theme “Re-Balance” so that all my posts appeared in with multiple links on the front page. I will look at your latest suggestions and again attempt to make the blog look as I wanted it to originally. Thank you again for all your suggestions and input.

Right, you can create static front pages with pages and static featured content with blog posts. Once you have this content swapped over to a blog post then it should appear along side your other posts like normal without forcing any static content.
