Ixion featured images – horizontal display
-
How do I get the “featured images” on the homepage of my Ixion themed page to display horizontally across the page instead of one on top of the other?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – did you get this sorted out? I see two featured posts side-by-side at the moment.
-
Thanks @kathrynwp….why don’t I see this as well? Mine are stacked on top of each other and justified to the left side of the page. I also can’t see the menu options on the header, can you see these?
-
Yes – this is what I see: https://cloudup.com/cv0AQ3okbik
Could you please let me know:
– what device are you using
– what operating system
– what browser and versionCould you also upload a screenshot to help in troubleshooting?
Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/You can upload the screenshot – in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or PDF – in your Media Library, and provide a link so I can see it, or upload it with a service like Cloudup, Imgur or Snaggy.

Still having the issue with the “feature” images stacking on top of one another (and not displaying horizontally below the header image on the homepage). I am looking at it on a Macbook Pro in Safari (although someone I am working with is using Chrome and it is doing the same thing). Firefox does not seem to be a problem, however. In addition to the images stacking, the main menu at the top of each page is not showing, either. Very concerning.
Also, I am having a hard time getting the “Read More” tab to work. Does it not work for the Ixion theme?
Thanks for any/all help on this.

Hmm – I checked your site in both Chrome 55.0.2883.95 and Safari 9.1.3 on Mac OS 10.9.5, and cannot see either of the issues you’re showing in those screenshots. There’s no “stacking” and the menu is visible.
Could you please let me know a few more technical details:
– what specific version of each browser are you seeeing the issue in (Safari & Chrome)? For Chrome, look under Chrome > About Google Chrome, for Safari go under Safari > About Safari
– what specific operating systems (Apple > About this Mac)?
– how big is your browser window? See Browser Size here: http://supportdetails.com/Could you also make sure your screen is set to 100% zoom. Chrome & Safari: View > Actual Size.
-
Could you also try temporarily disabling Safari extensions in case one is interfering:
https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203051
Scroll to “Turn off or uninstall extensions.” Don’t uninstall, just temporarily deactivate and restart Safari.

Working on Safari 8.0.3 at “actual size” and disabled extensions. Cleared history and restarted Safari and still don’t see what I need to see. I’m on a Mac OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2.
Concerned that not everyone can see the same screen when they login to the site. We can’t ask people to update everything individually, so I’m very worried as it’s set to launch in a couple days.

I don’t know the technical details for the Chrome user as it’s not my computer and walking the owner through those steps would be difficult for her.
Thanks for any help!

Could you confirm whether you see the same problems on the Ixion demo site:
https://ixiondemo.wordpress.com/
Could you also tell me your window size by visiting http://supportdetails.com/ and letting me know the dimensions under Browser Size?

My colleague Chad was able to replicate both the stacking and menu issues on both your site and the Ixion demo using Safari 8 in a browser service (BrowserStack). Can you please try upgrading to version 9 or 10? We support the most recent two versions of Safari and other major browsers.
For your Chrome user, if you want, you can ask them to visit this site:
In the Recipient email box, add themes AT wordpress DOT com – that’ll have her details sent directly to us.
