Ixion – Suppress titles on 2 of 3 Featured Content Images

    Hello,

    We would like to suppress the titles on 2 of the 3 featured content images. The leftmost image and the middle image. Could you please provide the CSS code to do this?

    On our website, we will be replacing the “2022 Day of Remembrance” and “Victory at the IACHR” images with new designs. For those two images, we would like to suppress the overlaying titles.

    Hi Bekki,

    The featured content images will display the title and the link to the full page. Are you planning to altogether remove those titles from there because you no longer need the images to link to those pages?

    If so, rather than adding additional CSS (it may not be as easy to remove only some of the titles), I’d suggest creating this part of the homepage manually using Columns and Image blocks:

    Hello,

    We would still like to link the images to specific pages. However, we would like the titles of those pages suppressed since we have designs with the page titles on them. If it’s easier, suppressing the title from all three images would work for us.

    Here is an example:

    The leftmost image will already have ‘2022 Day of Remembrance’ so we don’t want the page title ‘2022 Day of Remembrance’ to overlay the image.

    Hi there,

    If you are planning to remove all image titles since you already have the titles on the designs, you can use this snippet to remove the titles:

    site-description, .featured-content .hentry .entry-title a {
      display: none;

    That snippet would remove all three titles. As staff-mckluskey mentioned, it would otherwise be difficult to only remove some of the titles and not all. Therefore, I would add the title to the third image and have the title on all designs moving forward.
