ixion theme – add extra featured content box

  I am trying to build a website for 4 partner organisations using ixion theme.

  I would like to use the featured content area to show all those 4 organisations, but the theme only allows you to display 3!

  Could anyone help me add a 4th?

  If not is there a way to build something equivalent with 4 images that stretches the full width of the page? (i.e. so it is underneath the header but above the rest of the content and sidebar)

  Hi there,

  Something like this would require modifying the PHP files that control how the theme works. CSS code can be used to modify the appearance of an element that already exists on the site. It cannot be used to add brand new information, like fetching an additional featured page in this case.

  To modify your theme in this way on WordPress.com would require creating a child theme. We don’t provide support for that level of customization, but you can find an overview of the process here:

  If you don’t know enough about PHP to do something like this yourself (I suspect this would be a fairly complex change), we recommend working with a freelancer at Upwork to help you make the changes to the theme that you want:
