  I am building a website for a non-profit group, so I picked the theme of Ixion. However, I want to have a banner or logo that will extend across the entire top of each of the pages. I have tried to resize the .png I have that I want to use in the WordPress editor. But it won’t let me crop it to its entire size, the crop won’t let me go far enough to the right or the left to capture the entire image. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

  Ok, I added the code that you gave me into the customize site identity tagline box and it created a box the right size on the webpage. But how do I get the picture I have to fit into that box to make the banner/logo? Also, the box is black, is there a way to change the color?
