Java Plugin Issue with Google Maps
-
I’m new to WordPress, I’ve been unable to update the address associated with our Google Maps Plugin. I’m getting the error message ‘This page didn’t load google maps properly. See the Javascript console for technical details’. I’ve tried a different browser that didn’t work. Javascript console has a note about a Google maps expiredmapkey error. I’m not sure what this means or what to do, any ideas?
I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

Hi there, could you let us know the URL of the site you’re having trouble with?
Please bear in mind that we are able to help with sites that are hosted here with us on WordPress.com, but for sites using the WordPress software from WordPress.org, there is a community forum at this address:

Got it, thank you! That site uses Namecheap rather than our managed hosting, so we aren’t admins and can’t see how you have it set up. I can’t even see the google maps attempt on that page.
But I did find these tips for that error message. You might ask your host to help you make a backup, then try one of the suggestions folks have shared.
Going forward, these forums are primarily for sites that use our free-tier hosting. We’re a little different from the WordPress software itself:
https://wordpress.com/go/website-building/wordpress-com-vs-wordpress-org/You’ll want to create an account at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ so you’ll have access to the correct community for your site. Or, you’d be welcome to host here; your plan would get direct support.
I hope this helps!
