Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org ) but hosted elsewhere.
We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.
You enable Javascript in your browser – there’s a button on our support page here to check if it is:
https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#java-script
If you still have trouble, Please contact WooCommerce Support about this via https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ and they’ll look into this for you.
Thanks!

Is it possible to put some javascript and a html canvas on a page made with the free wordpress.com account? I’d like to play around putting a little game up on there.

For security reasons, sites not on plugin-enabled plans are not allowed to post JavaScript. Therefore you would not be able to use it on a free WordPress.com site. You can see what is and is not allowed here:

I hope that clarifies things!
