Je suis perdu
-
Bonjour,
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Et je n’ai pas voulu créer un blog à l’adresse “lkblog13.wordpress.com” : c’est en cherchant à me connecter au site WordPress que j’ai dû faire une mauvaise manip.

Hi Laurent,
I’ve used Google Translate to understand:
I have a WordPress blog at: laurentkarouby.com But I can’t access the statistics of my site. I have to go through Jetpack for that. But Jetpack does not allow me to install the ‘Extras’ module which contains precisely the statistics I am looking for. I do not know what to do. Can you help me ?
The site at laurentkarouby.com isn’t connected to the
lkblogadminaccount you used to post here. The Jetpack connection for that site belongs to a different WordPress.com username, and you need to be logged in as that other username to view stats for that site.If you don’t remember the login details for the correct account, please follow our account recovery process at https://fr.support.wordpress.com/recuperation-compte/ so we can help you regain access.
I’m not sure what extras module you’re speaking of – site stats are a built-in feature of Jetpack, and doesn’t require you to install anything extra. But for more help with Jetpack itself, please contact their support team directly in their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/
And I did not want to create a blog at the address “lkblog13.wordpress.com”: it was while trying to connect to the WordPress site that I must have made a bad manipulation.
The site at lkblog13.wordpress.com was created 11 years ago when you created the
lkblogadminusername account you used to post here. But it doesn’t look as if you have ever used this site.If you don’t want this site, you can delete it at Settings ->General in the dashboard.

Thanks you a lot for your help.
At first, I’ve done the recovery process : I’ve writed my mail adress ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) and I followed the link to create one brand new password. That’s ok. I could logging me without any trouble. All is correct : now I am connected to this link :
https://wordpress.com/home/lkblog13.wordpress.com (I see again “lkblog13”).
So, what can I do now to connect clearly my blog “laurentkarouby.com” to “WordPress” or “Jetpack” ?
Many thanks again.
Laurent

Oh and I don’t have any stats on my site. I looked about Jetpack : I only have “Anti-Spam” and “Boost” on my menu. If I want Stats, I must choose the “Extras” product in the menu “My Jetpack”. But It doesn’t install this extension.

Hi there,
It sounds like your browser may be logging you into this account (@lkblogadmin) instead of the account you are trying to access for laurentkarouby.com
It looks like you are using Google Chrome as your browser, so with this in mind I would like you to try the following
– clear your cache and cookies based on the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
– Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well.
– If you continue to have loading issues after completing those steps, I would like you to try another browser instead, like Firefox. Please try to log in to your other account (not @lkblogadmin) and you should see stats at this link once you are correctly logged in: https://wordpress.com/stats/day/www.laurentkarouby.comHope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Thank you for your reply.
But I have a new problem (sorry): by wanting to authenticate myself on my site (laurentkarouby.com), I entered the login, the password, and ReCaptcha blocks me (I have given the correct answer to the arithmetic operation requested, I always get this error message: “Authentication failed. The reCaptcha verification failed. Please try again.”)…
As I can no longer enter my site, I can no longer modify the ReCaptcha settings. How do I proceed? I think I’m stuck there…
Thank you for everything.

Hi there,
Unfortunately, we are unable to help with the login credentials because we don’t host your site directly on our WordPress.com hosting. Instead, your site is hosted with a different provider on a separate host, and we cannot take a closer look. I would first touch base with your site host and see if they can assist you with the restoration.
The good news is that because your host uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the forums here:
https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help. I hope this points you in the right direction.
Hope this help.

I was finally able to get away with deleting any “captcha” files via FTP. And it worked.
Anyway, thank you for your answers.
