Jet pack fatal error
-
My blog had a ‘white screen of death’ and my hosting company said jet pack was the problem so they deactivated it. When i try to deactivate it, it says it can’t because it has a fatal error. If I delete and reinstall, I will lose all my data. Please help.

Ps my hosting company said I’d have to call the maker of the plugin to have the issue fixed…I hate that I can’t call and talk to someone about this, all while my social media plugins aren’t showing on my posts anymore because jet pack is deactivated :( :(

Hi there,
This is wordpress.COM and we don’t provide Jetpack support. We provide support only for sites hosted by wordpress.COM. We do not provide support for wordpress.ORG software installs. Your site is not hosted by wordpress.COM. Our support docs do not apply, and we do not provide support. You are posting to the wrong support forum.Jetpack is a plugin used by WordPress.ORG bloggers to achieve parity with what we already have built into WordPress.COM blogs, and we do not provide Jetpack support on these wordpress.COM support forums. Please direct Jetpack issues to where they can get Jetpack support.
re: Jetpack support
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

i registered with WordPress.org as you suggested, and went to the jet pack support forum you suggested. It is saying my log in is invalid, even though I am putting exactly what’s in my confirmation email.
Thank you for your reply, but this is super stressing me out. Why is it so hard? :(

That’s good because as I said above the two are separate and have different logins. Best wishes.

Yes, thank you! They released a new update to the plugin yesterday afternoon; updating solved the problem.
