  I sthere going to be a jet pack plug in for wordpress.com?
  I have ourchased the zuki theme however cannot use the slider section due tolack of jet pack.
  This is not clear in the notes relating to the theme (that i remember).

  Any suitable alternatives that can create the same effect?

  Pls. advise.

  There is no need of Jetpack on WordPress.com. All the Jetpack functionality is already available on WordPress.com out of the box. In fact Jetpack exists so self-hosted blogs too can enjoy the features of WordPress.com blogs. Not the other way around.

  I am not sure how you were misled but slider has nothing to do with Jetpack. Have you had a chance to look at *Featured Post Slider* section of the Zuki theme support document which explains how to enable post slider?

  This is how we can enable slider for not just Zuki, but other themes that support slider.
