Jetpac Post to Facebook App Failed
-
I consider this to be a wordpress.com problem because it concerns Jetpac and a wordpress.com app….
I have moved my self hosted site from one server (toadguy.com/productionshed.net/) to another (productionshed.net). I have deactivated all plugins from old site and left it dormant but not deleted is.
I have removed the wordpress.com app from facebook.
When I try to share to facebook from my new site it correctly allows me to log in, I accept all the privacy, it then redirects me to my old site with the message “you do not have permission to access this page”.
If I then try to reload my new site I get a message that Jetpac has failed. I have tried to remove all trace of my old site from facebook. What can I do to allow me to connect?
If this is the wrong place for this I would be grateful if you could point me to the correct place as am absolutely stumped and need this functionality!

Do you mean this is happening while you try to connect to Publicize for Jetpack via Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard?

My apologies. As it happens I have just managed to fix the problem. When I migrated the blog from one server to another the jetpac plugin was included in the upload. It appeared to work fine on the new server except for the above problem. I couldn’t work out how the redirect from face book was taking me back to the old site and spent a long time removing all trace of the old server urls from facebook and wordpress.com.
Eventually I had the idea of disconnecting jetpac from wordpress.com on the new server (I had already done it on the old) and then reconnecting. Once I had done this everything seemed to work fine.
It seems if you are having trouble with Jetpac plugins, especially after migrating, disconnecting then reconnecting Jetpac with wordpress.com is a good step to take.
Thanks for you response.
