I am trying to get a wordpress site going, my website it
http://www.bunkhousecreation.com, but right now it is with go daddy but supposed to be discontinued this month. They have my domain name too.
I tried this before too, guess I should have got this done a long time ago. -
That is not a WordPress site, so you won’t be able to connect it with Jetpack.
What is the URL of the WordPress site currently?
-
I guess I don’t know, If I can’t get my bunkhousecreation.com hooked up to it I guess.
I’m trying to do this myself since I can’t afford to have someone do it for me -

https://bunkhousecreation.com/ is a URL, but that’s not a WordPress site.
Jetpack can only connect with publicly accessible WordPress sites.
What is the URL currently of the WordPress site, how would someone access it online today?

to WordPress.com
My WordPress site is not active yet, so as far as I know I can not be accessed yet.
I thought WordPress could host my Domain if I authorized it. Or could I transfer it over to WordPress?
Please advise

Hi Linda, we’d be happy to host the site for you, or point you in the right direction if you prefer to host it someplace else.
Can you go to the page where you’re trying to connect Jetpack, click in the address bar in your browser, and copy and paste that here?
That should tell us where it’s hosted, and we’ll be able to help you find your next steps.
-
its hosted at Go Daddy.
As far as what you said
“Can you go to the page where you’re trying to connect Jetpack, click in the address bar in your browser, and copy and paste that here?”
This is totally confusing to me.Linda

“Can you go to the page where you’re trying to connect Jetpack, click in the address bar in your browser, and copy and paste that here?”
This is totally confusing to me.In your web browser, you will see an address bar. For this forums post, you can see it here: screenshot
The item you need to copy and paste (in this example) is:
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/jetpack-21/?view=allIf you can go to the page where you’re trying to connect Jetpack, copy all the text in that address bar, and paste it in your reply here, we’ll be better able to advise what you need to do next.
Thanks!

What is the URL of the page you are on? Can you copy and paste the URL into your reply here?
-
Yes that is the URL to the homepage of your site. But what we are referring to is something more specific, and that is the URL to the settings page you mention here:
I keep getting a message that the jetpack is not connected, but when I try to go in and fix on the debug it says ‘unknown error’ and I can find out why?
We’d like to know if you can copy the address out of your browser when you are on the page that says
unknown error. Can you go to the page that shows you that error, then at the top of your browser copy the web address you see there? It will have “bunkhousecreation.com” in it, but it will be a much longer URL with more info than just your site address. Thanks for the additional info!

I have been so busy I have not been able to get on here lately. Now I can’t find that place. Just on where my information is.
Please help me get this straightened out. I just don’t know what to do anylonger.
If I can’t get this going I am going to have to go with someone else and I wanted to get this one started up again.

OK, the only thing that is active with Go Daddy is my domain of
BUNKHOUSECREATION.COM
nothing else is active.
It is paid for until 2023.
What can you help me with so I can get my WordPress up and active so I can get my website going. -
https://bunkhousecreation.com/ is absolutely not a WordPress site.
If you’re trying to use WordPress hosted at GoDaddy, so you can then use Jetpack, you need to first install WordPress from https://wordpress.org following the steps at https://wordpress.org/support/article/new-to-wordpress-where-to-start/
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

If you want to start a site hosted here at WordPress.com instead, you can at https://wordpress.com/start

I know that bunkhousecreation.com is not a WordPress site.
I am not trying to use WordPress hotsted at Go Daddy.
I am trying to switch over to WordPress for my website with my existing domain name switched over to WordPress.
