The sad crutch of automated image and text generation misses the entire point of blogging to begin with: creating a real and considered human connection with other people on the internet. At what point to human beings become surplus to the economics of generating “content” for an audience of ‘bots to pretend to consume? I was just looking at the WP blocks I never use [95% of them] to see my options for introducing a contest drawing for my blog as I was given promotional copies of music that I would like to pass on to readers. When I saw these Open AI blocks, whose very presence is deeply cynical, I felt a little bit sick inside.
Please remove them.

I enjoy buggering about with the AI paragraph block. I don’t trust it to write anything for me yet, but merely giving it prompts and watching it write things is interesting. I particularly enjoy giving it paragraphs from a book I’m writing then watching what it thinks will happen next. It often hits far from the mark in terms of what I intended to happen next. Yet it makes interesting stories, and I sometimes take elements from what the AI writes if it improves a bit on my writing or fleshes something out.
I sincerely hope you keep this block and keep improving it.

I definitely love this feature, sparks more ideas in my writing and the ability to generate an image as well is just perfect.

I’m impressed with the AI Paragraph, and think it improves my WordPress experience. Even though I was originally against AI writing, I have grown to like it through this platform.😅 As for the AI Image…..Heh, it needs a bit more work, but I enjoyed playing around with it a bit.

I love this feature, only disadvantage is that I can`t edit, if you could make that possible that would be perfect. Perfect when blogging too, can just type the heading of what you want and it just does all the work, AWESOME

I have a brain and I don’t want a computer to take over what I am writing. Also, it is freezing my page so I can’t do anything and it is not doing anything.

The AI is too protective for now. I am a writer who like to explore topics like psychology, depression, and suicide, The AI refuse to work on lot’s of my content that contain less than 3 words of profanity.
But it can give general structure though, so its okay I guess.
Let’s see where this is going. -
AI-generated images or text from text can’t be copyrighted. By the way, AI models are trained on copyright-protected data is not legal.

I need to be able to edit of tweek the words or paragraph on what the AI has presented for me.

Caution is advised, as AI can and does! spread a lot of nonsense. For example this: in response to the question about hunting in Geneva (hunting has been banned in Geneva since 1974).

Hi @painintheass1976 there is no AI installed on your site itself. Instead these are experimental blocks you can test out, but if you do not use the block that is fine too.
Is the issue that you have added one of the AI blocks and are unsure of how to remove it? If so you can follow the steps here to do that: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/remove-a-block/

In testing the 12.2-beta build its not immediately clear what happened to the AI Image block (trying to get an image to generate via the AI Assistant block seems to lead to that functionality no longer being available?). It’s also not clear that the assistant response that appears like a paragraph block is not actually post content that would render on the frontend (though you can eventually learn that via previewing the post). I’d recommend a bit of notification as to what’s happening with the image generation feature if that’s really going away and being more clear somehow in the assistant response that its only viewable in the editor (perhaps text in the sidebar panel, perhaps a green outline on that block that somehow leads to clearly knowing that its content only within the editor, or something else to help content creators better understand how the feature works).

I think it’s cool but the number of words is too limited around 250 words less, if you give an order it’s usually not finished. So the “Continue generating” button or feature must be made immediately so that results can be maximized.
And maybe it’s cool that there are features/buttons that users can determine the minimum or maximum number of words that are applied to articles.
