Jetpack and maintenance mode on WordPress.com
-
Hello – I’m on the premium plan and wonder if/how I can access a maintenance mode for my blog. I thought I had access to jetpack’s maintenance mode but seems like I don’t? Can anyone clarify and/or offer an alternative? I’m planning a complete overhaul and need time to give my blog a refresh.
Many thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
For maintenance mode on WordPress.com, the best option is to set your blog to private. To set your blog to private, go to Settings > Reading on your dashboard, and click the radio button next to I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose.

Are you wanting to have your site inaccessible without setting it to private so that it is still indexing in search engines?
You can change your privacy settings to Hidden or keep them Public and set up a a static front page:
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
