Jetpack and Stats

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

We are thinking to connect all my self hosted website with jetpack, but I have several questions.

    1) Do I have to make for each customer an account on wordpress.com or is enough to use my own one and admin everything under this account?

    2) The stats is for all the website or can I split traffic for the different website then analyze traffic for each one?

    3) To delete the connection between self hosted website ( with jetpack installed ) and wordpress.com is enough to uninstall the plugin?

    thanks so much for support

As you can see in this post on wordpress.org they’re not going to answer about questions on your product!

  • 1) Do I have to make for each customer an account on wordpress.com or is enough to use my own one and admin everything under this account?

You could use your own account, but I would recommend that your clients use their own account instead. This way, they will be able to use their own personal account for features like Publicize, or Toolbar Notifications.

    2) The stats is for all the website or can I split traffic for the different website then analyze traffic for each one?

Each one of your sites will have its own set of Stats, and you will be able to access these stats right from your self-hosted WordPress dashboard.

    3) To delete the connection between self hosted website ( with jetpack installed ) and wordpress.com is enough to uninstall the plugin?

If you want to disconnect your site from your WordPress.com account, you can click on the Disconnect button appearing at the top of the Jetpack menu in your dashboard:
