Jetpack cannot connect on .net and .info domains

  On the same host, Hostgator, I can setup Jetpack on a brand new blog and connect to WordPress.com for all my .com domains.

  However when I do the same for a .net or .info domain then I get the following message:

  Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible

  Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [IXR -32300].

  i’ve tried all the suggestions on WordPress.org and nothing works.

  What now? Please help, or at least tell me if it will be fixed in the future.

  Just to make sure, you are running Jetpack 1.2.1, correct? This error message is one that we’ve seen other reports of but don’t currently have a fix for. We’ll keep working on it but right now we don’t have a solution for things.
