Jetpack CDN hosted images not reachable anymore

    Hello,

I use Jetpack Photon on a self hosted website and old image links appears to be broken now. My site gives a 404 error when trying to fetch my images and when i try the link directly in my browser as well.
    – I uploaded the same images with a different name and it did not work as well.
    – It works only when I upload SMALLER images.
All my old images weight is near 2 meg.
    ie: old image uploaded: https://i1.wp.com/prendsdeuxbananes.fr/wp-content/uploads/IMG_19972.jpg?resize=1166%2C777
gives an error message ‘We cannot complete this request, remote data could not be fetched’.
VS same image uploaded with 500ko : https://i1.wp.com/prendsdeuxbananes.fr/wp-content/uploads/IMG_19972-e1485261211298.jpg

I don’t know what have changed but maybe it is related to this information found on the Photon support : ‘If your server takes longer than 10 seconds to upload the image to Photon, the upload will time out and your image will appear to be broken. Try to upload a differently-named image with a smaller file size if this happens.’.

The fact is that my old images were already correctly uploaded to Photon before as it was working perfectly.

Does it mean that I have to resize all my old images (around 177 files) one by one to make it work again or is there a shorter way ?

Note: my images are all jpg, my site is not HTTPS, I am using last version for Jetpack and WordPress.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi There,
I loaded both of those images and did not receive any errors or broken images. They both loaded fine.
Within these forums we offer support for WordPress.com sites, but the best place to go to in the future for support with JetPack Photon would be:
    https://jetpack.com/support/
They would be able to support you with these types of problems there.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks
