Jetpack Connection

  • Unknown's avatar

I haven’t used my site in a while, but I have maintained payment for the domain. However, when I tried to enter my site through wordpress.com, it said I needed to check my Primary Site’s Jetpack Connection. What does this mean? I am not sure what to do to reinstate my website/blog.

I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    Hi there!

Would it be possible for you to let us know the URL to the site?
Having that information will help us give advice more effectively.

Looking at the error message it looks like your site is using open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org).

    Thank you :)

  • Hi there,

    Are you speaking of queenofallcrafts.com?

That site isn’t hosted on our servers, just connected here via the Jetpack plugin, and that Jetpack connection is currently broken.

Your domain is registered and hosted with Bluehost.com, and the issue is most likely on their end in this case – your domain doesn’t currently have an IP address, and that’s why nothing is loading at it. This is something that’s controlled on Bluehost’s end, so please contact their support directly for help getting your site back online.

Once the site is working again, the Jetpack connection allowing you to access it from WordPress.com should work again as well. If not, log into WP-Admin, click on Jetpack, and follow the steps there to disconnect and reconnect it.
