Jetpack Connection Error
-
I am seeing the following error when trying to access my WP Site and would like to know what needs to be done to fix it.
Error: ‘Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection’
I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

Hi @infamyfantasyesports, can you confirm what site you’re trying to access?
I see one site on this account, but it doesn’t seem to be a live site right now. If it’s supposed to be active, can you contact the host to sort that out?
Or, if you want to disconnect that and start a new site or new Jetpack connection on this account, let us know.

We would like to start a completely new site from scratch but keep the domain infamyfantasyesports.com. What would be the best course of action for this?

Hey @infamyfantasyesports, you can ues the domain
infamyfantasyesports.comin your new site. You can add your domain during the blog creation process. You can also add it later. You have to be in wordpress.com pro plan in order to add a domain though. If you want to know more about pro plan, please visit https://wordpress.com/support/pro-plan/
If you want to connect your existing domain please check out:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/I hope it helps, do let me know if you need any help. Also, I would like to extend my warm welcome to you. Cheers!

Hi there,
All we have control over from our side is your Jetpack connection for the site – your domain isn’t registered with us, and your site isn’t hosted on our servers, so we have no control over those parts.
If there’s not currently a site at infamyfantasyesports.com, we should remove the Jetpack-connection so that doesn’t cause issues if you later try to connect a new site with the same domain to Jetpack.
Next…
Do you want to start the new site here on WordPress.com, or at another hosting provider?
If you want to host the new site with us, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ to create a site. Select the Pro plan on the plans step, as that’s required to use your own domain. Then either use the domain connection upgrade in the plan to connect the domain to the new WordPress.com site, or transfer the domain registration to us:
https://wordpress.com/en/support/domain-connection-vs-domain-transfer/
And that should be it – if the site is hosted with us there’s no need to connect Jetpack.
Or if you want to host the new site at another provider, please contact them directly for the process to create a fresh WordPress installation on their servers, and connect it to your domain. Once the new site is set up, log into WP-Admin, install the Jetpack plugin, and reconnect it to your WordPress.com account (assuming you still want to use Jetpack on the new site, of course :) )
Either way, you’ll need to remove the current broken Jetpack connection, so please confirm if we should remove that for you.
Let me know if you have any questions.
