Jetpack Custom Message Does not appear in twitter

    Your result with the auto-tweet seems the same as I was getting.

    What do you mean when you say you tried tweeting again? Was this another wp post that auto-tweeted? Or a manually composed tweet?

    Let me know that and I’ll try a post with a featured image, excerpt and custom message and let you know when I’ve done that.

    I just put up the test blog post. This time, the custom message did appear in twitter, unlike prior efforts.
    I’ll leave everything up until I hear from you.

    I’ve talked with @supernovia and she simply opened a new Twitter status and pasted the post link. Can you give that a try? Let’s see if the results are the same as hers.

    Hi @joeleturner, clarifying as I think some context was missed here:

    I get different results if I paste a link vs publicize.

    I suspect Publicize is trying to be smart about the Social Media message. If you set a separate social media message, that is different from the excerpt, do you get a different result? I haven’t blogged recently but I’ll see if I can come up with something again so I can test this on my end, too.
