Jetpack email subscriptions lost during website restore from backup

I’m a web developer working on fixing a site for a client after it had issues and another developer restored it to an earlier backup. When the site was restored my client’s Jetpack plugin was deactivated. When I reactivated it, my client pointed out that their email subscriptions to their blog were all missing (around 100 subscribers). While logged into client’s wordpress.com account and selecting the website I am working on, there are only 2 subscribers (from 2 years ago).

Is there a way to restore these or are we out of luck? The blog url is still the same as far as I know and I don’t believe the other developer changed any directories or anything so I don’t really know what’s up. Any help would be awesome. Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello there!

I will look into this for you!

Was the original WordPress.com site: banusekendur.wordpress.com?

Let me know if this is the site from which the original subscriptions transfer was made to http://www.workwithbanu.com.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hi. I don’t think there was ever a subscription transfer from another site for this blog. We didn’t try to transfer anyway.

The site url that we collected the email subscriptions for http://www.workwithbanu.com blog has always been http://www.workwithbanu.com. We didn’t collect them on another site and try to transfer. It is a self hosted blog (as far as I know) that was just connected to wordpress.com to use the stats and subscription features of jetpack. All the subscriptions were available to view from http://www.workwithbanu.com until the blog got a bug and had to be restored to the most recent backup (which was from the beginning of this month so it was a very recent backup).

I hope that answered your question.

    Hi there!

That information was super helpful. Thanks for following up!

I have fixed the issue, and you should be able to get your Stats and Subscribers back by going to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and disconnecting / reconnecting to WordPress.com.

Please let me know how that works for you! Thank you.

Thank you so so much! I disconnected and reconnected as you instructed and now the subscribers and stats are back. My client is so very happy to have the list again!
