Jetpack got mixed up, not connected correctly.
-
Somehow my wordpress.com account was assigned to a jetpack integration on my clients website. This is interfering greatly with our ability to implement the packing and shipping module which is the only real reason we needed Jetpack in the first place. I don’t see any valid information on how to re-assign the domain (which I host outside of wordpress.com) and THEIR wordpress.com user/jetpack.
I tried to get paid support for $49 but the system indicated that isn’t available for their website. What do you do when there doesn’t seem to be a technical resource available. Someone sent a link a few weeks ago (to them) about assigning a new Jetpack user but the document didn’t align to what was on the pages and didn’t make sense. I’m willing to pay within reason for support if it’s available. There is some urgency in getting this working so they can ship from their Woocommerce installation.

In the wp-admin, go to the Jetpack dashboard. Click Manage site connection and disconnect. Once done, the person who wants to connect should use their wp-admin login and their WordPress.com login to set up Jetpack. That’s going to make them the Jetpack owner. They can then create labels via their own WordPress.com login for WooCommerce.
These are good resources:
Jetpack usually gives help on their site and the WordPress.org forums, and not via WordPress.com.

Thank you Darcie. I wound up asking this question again in the forum based on entering the forums from a different “angle” Not sure if I can remove that question. Sounds like your directions will help. If I’m solid I will report back in (with great appreciation)

Hi Darcie, looks like we made progress yesterday by following your suggestion. The client still needs to add their CC info and p ackage dimensions and types. I’m very eager (and somewhat anxious) about seeing how this comes together. My guess here is that it looks at product dimensions and connects package sizes based on multiplying dimensions and weights to the limits of packages. Not sure if it adds $ to account for cost of packing or other elements (the handling part of things) but I suppose we’ll see when we get there. If you know of a link that describes what the plugin will do and how otherwise we’ll find out as we get it connected. Thank you again for the assistance.

For that type of question, I recommend WooCommerce help. They have documentation and contact to ask on their site. Glad that the account switch was easy!
