Jetpack installed but no stats appearing
-
Hi I have installed Jetpack and followed the instructions, created an associated WP.com account but have no stats appearing relative to my local install. Well I have no stats at all relative to anything, just a message “No stats are available for this time period.”
I have deactivated it, deleted and reinstalled it twice to no avail. The busiest day date reads 1970 and I have altered the time in settings twice but it always eventually reverts back.
What next?
Seems to be similar to this guys issue:

Was a ever resolution found?

OK. I disabled all plugins, then deleted and reinstalled Jetpack. I now have only Jetpack activated.
There are still ‘No stats are available for this time period.’ and the time/date again displays “views on your busiest day, January 1, 1970”

Would you please try changing your timezone in the Settings section of your blog’s Dashboard to something different, then set it back?
-
I have already done that, probably 5 or 6 times, after reading previous posts on this subject.
I have just done it again. Still no stats.
When I first visit stats it nearly always has the wrong date. A browser refresh usually rectifies this to today’s date.

It’s possible that a theme functions file could be conflicting similar to a plugin. Would you mind temporarily activating the Twenty Eleven theme to see if that makes a difference?
-
OK. I activated the Twenty Ten theme (running WP 3.1.3) and the stats have appeared. Interaction with the front end has now presented some stats.
I have just reverted back to my custom theme and while the stats are still visible nothing I do in the front end is now registering as a stat.

It sounds like you could have a problem with the theme you’re using.
Your theme must have a call to <?php wp_footer(); ?> at the very bottom right before the </body> tag. (Typically in your theme’s footer.php, but some themes put this in more than one place.)
Also, you’re version of WordPress is rather out of date. Can you update to the current release?
-
BINGO!!!!!!!
Added the call… all appears to be communicating! Cheers macmanx.
…and relax
:*)
PS Will get the WP updated as soon as I can get the server administrator to upgrade the PHP!
