Jetpack issue connecting

hi! I use WordPress.org now, and I’m having this Jetpack issue that occurred after I disabled my plugins and reactivated them. it says:

“Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/

I’ve asked a few people from Bluehost, got my site restored to before I deactivated the plugins, and it’s just not working.

Could I use some help (a little urgent)? Thank you so much!! site: http://www.rhinopress.org

    Hi there Jessica!

While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:
    http://rhinopress.org/xmlrpc.php

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

Since your site returns a 404 error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    1) Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP?

    2) Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them?

    3) Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

One suggestion we have is to try to reinstall WordPress on your server. This may replace the xmlrpc file. To do this, go to Dashboard → Updates and click the reinstall button.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Wow all I had to do was re-install WordPress, not Jetpack.

    Thank you so much!

Fabulous! I’m so glad that worked out for you. Good luck with your self-hosted site!
