Jetpack, Markdown, footnotes don’t work
-
Hi,
I’m setting up a new site with the Jetpack-plugin enabled. I’ve enabled the setting to write with markdown syntax. I’ve written a test post within a markdown block in the editor with the markdown syntax for footnotes, following the example given here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/markdown-quick-reference/. However, the footnotes do not appear in the published post correctly as footnotes, see: http://drooglicht.nl/2019/06/06/test-2-markdown-footnotes/ .
Can someone help me with getting footnotes with markdown?
Best regards,
Jelle

Hi @jelle2019, thanks for that. This forum is for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com.
I do know generally speaking that 1) you need markdown enabled and 2) you’ll need to use the correct syntax from this site.
If you’ve checked on that and it’s still not working, since your question is about Jetpack rather than about the WordPress.com hosted site you mentioned (drooglicht.home.blog) would you be willing to post your question in the Jetpack forums?
