Jetpack Not Working

  Hi there,

  I’m having issues with Jetpack, but I think the issue is associated with WordPress and not my hosting provider itself.

  Every time I am on the homepage of my dashboard, I am asked to connect to Jetpack — but I already have, several times. The button is a typical blue WordPress button, reading: Connect Jetpack.

  So I click it, I’m led to the following link: https://wordpress.com/jetpack/connect/authorize

  It then shows that I’m connected. (It reads, connected as Daksha Rangan.)

  There’s another blue button below, saying ‘Return to your site.’

  I click it, but then I’m returned to a page that says ‘Your site is now connected!
  Now pick a plan that’s right for you.’ Not sure why I need to do this, so I select ‘Free.’

  But upon clicking that button, I’m brought back to the Jetpack page in my dashboard that says ‘Connect Jetpack.’ When I click it again, I’m sent through this loop. Despite leaving the dashboard, logging out, closing my browser, clearing my cache, the loop continues. I feel like I’m missing something really obvious here..

  This is wordpress.COM support. We can’t help with sites that are not on our servers. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites.

  Our support docs do not apply to
  (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
  (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
  (3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

  Ugh, I’m sorry about that. Rookie mistake.

  I’ll take this query over to the folks at .org support.
