Jetpack – Only Blog Owners Can Migrate Subscribers

  I think I know why this problem is happening but need help in resolving it. My wife has had a blog, blessingsbyme.wordpress.com and wanted to move it to self-hosted and I am helping with the migration.

  When trying to migrate the subscribers with Jetpack, we get the error “Only Blog Owners Can Migrate Subscribers”. I am assuming that the new site, blessingsbyme.com is technically “owned” by me, with my WordPress login, since I am the one who set up the new host and the new site.

  How can we resolve this issue? Thanks!

  Additionally, I suppose while this is being taken care of, moving the stats would be great also! Thanks!

  Thanks for taking care of this for us. I checked it out and the stats are for sure there; however, it doesn’t appear that the followers have showed up yet. When I click into stats, then under subscriptions, and click blog, there are no subscribers listed. Does this take awhile to propagate or did something go wrong? Thanks!

  As a matter of fact, I just went to WordPress.com and still see the 578 Follows attributed to blessingsbyme.wordpress.com and not blessingsbyme.com. Can you check on this for me? Thanks again!

  Hmm, sorry about that. Looks like it hit a snag last time. I’ve attempted the migration again. Can you confirm they’re showing up for you this time? I can see them on our end. The stats seem to be merged properly as well.
