Jetpack plugin support

Hi. My name is Johan and I am the web master of a website named norrastavsudda.se (about an island in the Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden) which I run on behalf of the local island community. We have had until recently a function with the Jetpack plugin that has given the opportunity for people to subscribe on newsletters that I post on the website.

But recently I discovered that this function was lost on the website, without information being sent to me before about this, or billing, or nor other cause of this, which prevents the subscribers to receive important information about community events and so on.

It would be very appreciated if you conduct give me advice on how to solve this? I have been in touch with the one.com support which is the the web/domain hostel but they could not give any proper answer. The website is otherwise working as normal with one bill paid once a year to one.com.

Thanks in advance and best regards from Stockholm, Sweden, – Mr Johan Ekroth

It is also important to know that I have tried to re-install Jetpack, without result, and one.com support could not give any advice on that part of the problem.

  • Hi there,

I noticed that the account from which you wrote this post isn’t linked to the site norrastavsudda.se, so I can only share publicly available information with you. To discuss more specific details, please contact us from the address on file.

If your site is disconnected from Jetpack, you’ll want to disconnect and re-connect Jetpack following this guide: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

If the connection keeps failing, you might need to:

    • Temporarily deactivate all the other plugins.
    • Temporarily switch to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty-Five).
    • Check for security tools or rules that might be blocking Jetpack’s access to the site.

Also, please note that this forum is primarily oriented to sites hosted at WordPress.com. The site norrastavsudda.se is hosted elsewhere, so you might want to post in the WordPress.org Jetpack support forum if you need additional help: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/

Alternatively, you might want to migrate your site to WordPress.com. All the sites we host include Jetpack (including services that have an extra cost for self-hosted sites) and for those sites we can fix the Jetpack connection from our end because we have access to both ends of the connection.

If you are interested, we can migrate the site for free with the purchase of any paid plan. You can compare our plans here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Jetpack isn’t essential for login. You can still log in at https://www.norrastavsudda.se/wp-login.php using the credentials you choose when you set up that site.
