  I’ve reviewed the possible answers to a previous questioner asking “Why total page views is much higher than sum of individual page views,” but my question is why now, for the first time after publishing my blog for the past 13+ years, with quite consistent reporting of views and viewers over that entire span? Could it be as simple as bots having never scraped my site until now, with reported views suddenly running 3X to 6X in excess of the actual aggregate number, and pretty much the same disparity between my historical number and these new ones? Thank you.
