Jetpack sending emails that website is down

I am continuing to receive emails from Jetpack monitor that my website is down and loading slowly or intermittently, but when I visit the webpage it loads just fine. This is happening at least 6 times a day for the past 3 days. I have disabled two plugins that were updated before the emails began and that did not help. I have contacted the host who said that it isn’t a problem on their end. I need help pinpointing the problem so that it can be solved. At this point I don’t know if the website is actually down or Jetpack is sending faulty emails.

  • Hi there,

Your site loads if I try to view it in my browser, so clearly it’s not down, but if you’re getting emails from Monitor it means Jetpack is unable to connect to your site. If the site is not actually down, that typically means some setting on your hosting provider’s end is interfering with the Jetpack connection.

However, the Jetpack connection on your site looks fine at the moment:

    Jetpack

Should this happen again, please check that page for any connection errors. Also check the debugger on the site itself at Jetpack ->Settings in the WP-Admin dashboard – there’s a Debug link at the bottom of that page. If it shows anything wrong you can contact Jetpack support directly from that page.

Thank you so much! I’ll give those a shot.

  • No problem :) and good luck.
