Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site – Couldn't resolve host
-
I have just installaed Jetpack on my site, when trying to complete the installation i receive the following message:
“Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible]Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed Couldn’t resolve host ‘hugemutha.com’]”
I host the domain on my server and I am able to connect to it from various remote hosts so I don’t understand what’s causing the problem.
I have disabled all other plugins, the disabled Jetpack and re-enabled it again before re-trying the connection to no avail
please assist

Can you please ask your hosting provider if they’re blocking xmlrpc.php? Jetpack requires access to this file.
-
No, I think it’s accessible
ls -l /usr/share/wordpress/xmlrpc.php
-rw-r–r– 1 apache apache 3266 Apr 17 2011 /usr/share/wordpress/xmlrpc.php -
Can you please try installing the Jetpack Compatibility Plugin so we can see some additional information from your site?
1) Download the plugin from http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/jetpack/branches/jetpack-compatibility-test.zip
2) Upload the plugin to your site via Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New.
3) Activate the plugin and go to Plugins -> Jetpack Compatibility Test.
4) Click the “Select All” button.
5) Send the results of the test to us.Please send the results in an email to help@wordpress.com, rather than replying to this public thread directly.

Hi
I sent the compatibility pack output to the address specified above, did you receive it? Any more ideas how I can resolve this issue?
