Jetpack Sharing Email Not Being Sent

All they gave me was what I pasted above, fifth post down. It seemed vague and not too helpful, which is par for the course for them.

I hadn’t responded to them yet because it didn’t sound like they were going to/could do anything for me and I wasn’t sure what to say anyway.

I guess there’s no one to one ratio for that setting in Linux and WIndows.

  • It would be best if they could get that working for you. The mail function is standard on every hosting provider that we have dealt with, and it seems odd that they would restrict it.

I will tell them that and see what happens.

    Thank you for your guidance.

Just so you know, I replied to the host and this is what they said:

We do not implicitly block the webserver SMTP processes, however we do not monitor the blacklist status of those server IPs. We strongly recommend whichever email service you intend to implement you do so with an SMTP authentication method through your mail server location. This way not only will we be monitoring the blacklisting status, but you can also track the traffic within your admin reports section to be sure emails are being properly sent. Generally Pear mail in Linux or CDOSYS in Windows would be top rated for ease of use.

  • Ok, we won’t be able to switch the mail function used, as that would affect all Jetpack users, but we may be able to consider alternatives in the future.

    Sorry for the trouble!
