Jetpack showing 401 error
-
Hi!
So I have a site, https://rasmushellmyrs172.wpcomstaging.com/. When I try to access it via https://rasmushellmyrs172.wpcomstaging.com/wp-admin it says it’s a 401 error. So samthing is broken in the connection between Jetpack and WordPress.com for this site. I was using the domain “gaming-gear.net” on another host but decided to move it to WordPress.com, and it was then the issues was starting. I have downgraded the https://rasmushellmyrs172.wpcomstaging.com/ plan from a business plan to a free account, but the Gaming-gear domain seems to be stuck inside the https://rasmushellmyrs172.wpcomstaging.com/ account and I obviously need Jetpack to work to access that domain again.
Thanks!

Hello!
Before we proceed, it seems there are a number of things happening here, and I want to ensure we have a clear understanding before providing further guidance.
Based on the information provided, it appears that you initially had a Business plan and transferred the domain registration for “gaming-gear.net” from “prylgalningencom.wpcomstaging.com” to “rasmushellmyrs172.wpcomstaging.com.” Later, you canceled the Business Plan for “rasmushellmyrs172.wpcomstaging.com,” but the domain registration still remains.
To clarify, please let me know:
- Which website hosted on WordPress.com would you like to associate with the “gaming-gear.net” domain?
- What specific aspect within wp-admin for “rasmushellmyrs172.wpcomstaging.com” are you attempting to access?
Once I have these details, I’ll be able to provide more accurate advice.
Thank you!

Hi!
I want to make sure that you read this. That’s why it can be duplicates of this post because it’s not published on the forum.
Here comes the answers:
1: I want my domain “gaming-gear.net” to be associate with the domain “Mobilanyheter.net”.
2: I want an export file of the site so I can export the file to a new WordPress.com business plan when this issue is solved.
Thanks!

Hi again!
Just one question. With “associate”, you mean that in this case, the domain “gaming-gear.net” will 301 to “mobilanyheter.net”. Is that correct?
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for clarifying. We were able to move the domain
gaming-gear.net, so it’s currently redirecting tomobilanyheter.net. You should shortly receive an email with the basic XML export file too. -
Hi!
Thanks for helping me out with this. I’m very grateful! :)
Have a good day!

Hello!
After you made this change my account says “You can’t buy, contact support”. I have done that but they don’t say why this error occurred. Since it came so close to this problem, I think you may have done something wrong (the error appeared the same day you made the change). Could you please take a look at what might have gone wrong? Thanks! -
Hi there,
Thank you for the message. You received an email yesterday where you can find more details.
Thank you for your patience!
