Jetpack subscribe
-
I am starting a new blog. I have installed jetpack and set up the newsletter option. This is despite the instructions for this (https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/subscribe-block/) no longer being accurate as ‘subscribe’ does not work, it’s all outdated. I have the newsletter form on the site now but, having tested it with 2 different emails, it does not work. Please help.

Hi there,
It sounds like you are needing help with the Jetpack plugin, but have landed on the support forum for WordPress.com sites instead. Can you please report this issue to Jetpack support by asking here?
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/
Please also note that you appear to be referring to the WordPress.com subscription instructions, which are specific to sites we host directly on WordPress.com. You may wish to follow these instructions that are specific to Jetpack-powered sites: https://jetpack.com/support/subscriptions/
If you continue to have issues, the Jetpack support staff at the first link I shared will be able to help. Thanks! -
Hi,
First of all thank you for your help. I was able to solve the problem (I simply needed to activate it).
However, I did get to jetpack through the wordpress support site. It said: Add the Subscribe block to encourage readers to keep up-to-date on your posts… This block is available to all WordPress.com sites. If you have a self-hosted site, install the free Jetpack plugin.
The instructions that follow are then correct but as I said they don’t make it clear that the plugin needs to be activated first.
Thanks again.
