Jetpack uninstalled itself, won't reinstall

I updated to latest version of wordpress.com and then it uninstalled jetpack and won’t reinstall. getting error message that install failed. try to download again, but it won’t install. HELP!!!!

My blog is a wordpress.com blog but hosted via Go Daddy – but I have using wordpress.com to install plug-ins etc…that’s why I have a question about jetpack not installing and came here. Isn’t that a wordpress question?

Jetpack is part of wordpress.com and is an automatic feature. It was installed and I did not uninstall it. WordPress.com deleted it off my site with no notice and it fails to install when I try to add it from the plug-in feature.

@parismadeeasy-There’s a basic misconception here. Your site (the one linked to your username) is not hosted on WordPress.com. It is, however, using the standalone WordPress software.
