JetPack upgrade crashed my blogsite
-
Yesterday I applied the current JetPack update. Since then every attempt to navigate to any page of my blog or blog administration returns this error message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in /nfs/www/WWW_pages/aratyr/risaaratyr.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/widgets/simple-payments.php on line 220

Hi there,
This was a bug in the latest release. It’s already been fixed, but you’ll need to manually delete and reinstall the plugin to apply it to your site:
- Log in to your site via FTP or File Manager
- Delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder in wp-content/plugins/jetpack.
- Download the previous stable version of Jetpack 6.2.1 – https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.6.2.1.zip
- Reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation
If that doesn’t work, please contact Jetpack support at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
Please do not send Jetpack users to the general WordPress.org forums – those forums only provide support for the core software, not for specific plugins.
Where it’s a question related to a WordPress.com feature that’s powered by Jetpack, like stats, subscribers, Publicize, or the Reader, we can help them in this forum. For the rest, please refer them directly to Jetpack support.
