Jetpack WP-Stats not working
-
Hello
I have been using Jetpack for a few weeks and everything was fine, then about a week ago I noticed that the WP-Stats component stopped working, I now get the following error
“You are not a member of this site.
If you have just installed the WordPress.com Stats plugin, this error probably appeared because the API key entered in the plugin belongs to a different WordPress.com user account.
The owner of the API key must visit this site’s stats page to grant access.”
I am using Chrome 15.0.874.121 on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.10
I am running WordPress 3.2.1 and Jetpack 1.2.1, I also have Askimet 2.5.3 and Seemore 1.1 installed
My webhost is A Small Orange who run Apache 2.2, PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5.0Thank you
Ben

It sounds like you’re still using the WordPress.com Stats plugin too.
The WordPress.com Stats plugin is no longer under active development and technically replaced by Jetpack.
Please make sure that you have the WordPress.com Stats plugin deactivated and deleted from your blog.

Hello
Sorry, I didn’t meant to say WP-Stats, I’m using (and have only ever used) the Jetpack one
I’ve also disconnected and reconnected my blog to WordPress.com, still doesn’t work

I have also just removed Seemore, I now only have Askimet and Jetpack installed, I find this issue strange and everything was working fine a few weeks a go.

This is fixed in Jetpack 1.2.1. Please go to your Plugins page and upgrade! :)

Whoops, you already said you’re running 1.2.1. :( My apologies, let me see what else I can find out.

I *think* I’ve maybe figured it out. Would you please try checking your Jetpack → Site Stats page again now and let me know if it’s working?

The stats instance was showing up as deactivated inside the WordPress.com system. I’m not sure why yet, but it seems it could have happened if you requested to unlink the vassie.name from a WordPress.com account in the past or it could also have happened for some other reason I haven’t figured out yet. :)
Yours is the first case I’ve seen. I’ll keep an eye out for others and keep trying to track down the source of the trouble.
