Jetpacks Sharing

In the Jetpacks it says there is a “sharing” section under “settings” but sharing and many of the items shown on that page are not listed under my settings menu. The only options listed for me are the following: general, writing, reading, discussion, media, privacy, and permalinks. I have checked each one of these sections several times and none of them show a “sharing” section or option to do the actions noted by the Jetpacks page.

Also, most of the features of WP Theme: Twenty Eleven for the .com site do not work now that I am hosting my own WP site. The contact form doesn’t work and the image gallery and slideshow that came with that initial set-up no longer work either. The layout proportions also are not the same. Why is the same theme so different between the .com and .org versions?

  • For the sharing portion, make sure that the sharing module is activated in the Jetpack section of your Dashboard.

Galleries should work as normal, that’s a WordPress core function, but the carousel display is only available on WordPress.com.

Slideshows should work if you have Jetpack’s Shortcodes module enabled.

As for contact forms, you’ll need this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/grunion-contact-form/
