Jetstar API subscription still appears on my dashboard after I unsubscribed.
-
Newbee question (sorry): Can’t seem to get rid of my subscription from my dashboard. I no longer want to subscribe to jetstar.api.wordpress.com so I followed the instructions to unsubscribe but the Jetstar URL still appears at the top of my dashboard.
Blog url: http://jetstarapi.wordpress.com/ -

I haven’t set up my blog yet. It’s most likely going to be
http://dccharron.wordpress.comDo I have to set up my blog before I can get rid of the jetstar blog from my dashboard? -
Well, you shouldn’t have a Dashboard that displays feeds like this without a blog.
Can you tell me the exact URL where you see the feed appearing?

I’m beginning to dislike IE9. Unlike IE8 it does not show the URL when you hover your mouse over a link…I know I should move to Chrome or Firefox. ho hum…
The URL that I see after I click on the “My Blog” pull-down menu and select “Dashboard” is
http://jetstarapi.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
That is unexpected to me. I would have expected something like
http://dccharron.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
I’m not sure how it got like this. How do I change it? -
Try Chrome, it’s much nicer. :)
That blog appears because at some point you were added as a user. If you would like, I can remove you from that blog.
You actually haven’t registered dccharron.wordpress.com yet, but if you want to, you can from https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs

Excellent. I have registered my blog (dccharron.wordpress.com). That started to fix things. At this point I had 2 blogs appearing on the My Blog pull-down menu. I was then able to link to a page that presented me with both blogs from which I could ‘Leave’ the Jetstar API blog (strangely I can’t find the link I used to manage both blogs anymore…no matter). All is well now. Happy for you to close. Many thanks for your help (and especially your patience).
