  • Hi there,

If I’m understanding you correctly – you would like to allow your husband to edit posts on your blog.

If he has a WordPress.com account you can add him as a contributor, author, or other role. Here’s the description of User Roles available and how to give someone access: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

At the bottom of each post you’ll see the “Share This” options. He’ll have to post a link to your site’s blog posts on his site. If he has a WordPress.com blog as well, he can use the Reblog feature to share the post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/reblogs/

Also, please check out the support article “Content Options” for instructions on showing the author’s name on the blog post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/content-options/

Does this help? Let us know if you have other questions. Thanks!

Not exactly. We are trying to see if it is possible to create a new wordpress free site for my husband that will automatically redirect to my existing wordpress site, so his followers/or clients can go to his site will end up at mine. I write and he edits my work, so both of us appear on Kindle books.

  • Ok, you may be able to do that with a Site Redirect.

    Here’s the instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

Or if he already has a domain name he wants to use, you can add Domain Forwarding without needing to have a WordPress.com account. Check with the company his domain name is registered with for instructions on forwarding that domain name to your current site.

Here’s more info about how domain names are handled at WordPress.com just in case you need it – All About Domains: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/all-about-domains/
